The Challenge
A financial institution faced challenges gaining clear visibility into transaction health. Without real-time insight into transaction bottlenecks, identifying issues and optimizing performance was difficult. Additionally, technical telemetry data was not easily translated into executive-level views of business health, limiting its usefulness for decision-makers.
The Solution
Arctiq worked closely with key stakeholders to align technical observability with business priorities. The solution focused on executive-level visibility and scalable automation, built on three core components:
- Metric Definition & SLOs: Arctiq identified transaction types and established Service Level Objectives (SLOs) within Dynatrace to consistently track transaction health.
- Automated Infrastructure-as-Code: HashiCorp Terraform was used to automate the deployment and management of Dynatrace configurations, ensuring consistency and enabling scalable expansion.
- Modular Design: Reusable custom modules allow new SLOs and logic updates to be added as business requirements evolve.
Outcomes
